Understanding HSC Verbs and their application in HSC Biology. In this module Year 12 Biology students will engage with the HSC verb framework. Students will navigate the use of different verbs specific to HSC Biology and broaden their knowledge of the verbs themselves. Students will have the opportunity to apply their understanding, to improve their capability in formulating band 5/6 responses in Biology and learn valuable skills which are transferable to other HSC subjects. Established in 2010, this immersive STEM engagement opportunity introduces students to practical, hands-on applications of STEM via design-and-build and problem solving 'challenge' activities. Event activities are designed to foster skills for 21st century learning, in particular collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity at the University of Newcastle.
